Dave Paccassi, Design Consultant

Dave Paccassi

Dave joined the Sun Design team in 2009 as Purchasing and Estimating Chief and was promoted in 2011 to Design Consultant. As a Design Consultant for Sun Design, Dave’s priority is to listen to and understand our clients’ needs and desires for their project. This often includes reasons why someone is interested in remodeling, as well as budgetary and timeframe concerns. Educating our prospects and clients of the design-build process from concept to completion also play a big role in his responsibilities.

Before Sun Design, Dave spent 11 years with Rice Contracting Corporation where he was the company’s Chief Estimator. At Rice, Dave estimated and bid on more than 1,200 jobs, winning an average of 20 jobs per year, many of them multi-million-dollar projects with major contractors. He was responsible for operation of the estimating department where he hired, trained and evaluated new staff. Dave was a Senior Estimator with General Excavation Inc and owner-operator of PRD LLC where he developed and designed site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, easement plats and deeds from conception until final approval from Loudoun and Prince William County. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in urban systems engineering from George Mason University.

“I enjoy working for Sun Design because of the level of commitment that we have towards our client as well as the employees in the company. Nowhere else can I be challenged and enabled to grow in so many ways.”

Dave is married and has five kids who get a lot of his “free” time. He is very active in his church and the little time he has left over he enjoys spending running. “I am so blessed.”
