Sales Assistant

This position involves:

  • Project Coordination and Estimating
  • Contract Preparation
  • CRM Database Management
  • Attending Meetings & Events
  • Training & Professional Development

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of the home improvement/remodeling industry
  • Working knowledge of county permitting and compliance with county codes (i.e. Fairfax, Arlington, Loudoun, Prince George’s & Montgomery County, and City of Alexandria, Arlington & Fall Church)
  • Working knowledge of CRM functionality
  • Ability to excel in a performance measured environment
  • Ability to interact with other departments to ensure sales success
  • High degree of professionalism and tact
  • Self-starter and able to work both independently, and as part of a team
  • Accuracy and attention to detail while staying clearly focused on the big picture
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines with multiple interruptions
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word and Excel)
  • Previous sales experience a plus

Salesperson (Design Consultant)

The Salesperson (Design Consultant) is a valuable member of a unique team that is on a mission to deliver WOW through service. We need a team player who puts customer service first, works well with others, and respects the process we follow to get the job done.  We appreciate flexibility, a great attitude, and a good sense of humor.  Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.

This position involves:
Meeting and/or exceeding sales targets
Maintaining gross profit margins
Following the Sun Design sales system
Converting leads into design agreements, then into construction contracts
Estimating projects and writing construction contracts
Working with our in-house architect, designers, and production crews

Minimum Requirements:
Salesperson must be a top performer, have a fantastic attitude, and a willingness to learn. Salesperson must also have proven experience in residential remodeling with the ability to estimate, sell, manage and help design/engineer residential construction projects.

Preferred Requirements:
Sandler sales; familiarity remodeling/construction; strong computer knowledge; excellent organizational skills; and attention to detail.

Compensation is based on experience and consists of cash flow plus commission.

Structural Designer

Job requirements include:

  • The ability to perform site measures and create as-built drawings;
  • Independently set-up, produce and develop plans, elevations, sections, and architectural massing/3D models (including mechanical and electrical requirements) in phases as needed for the remodel;
  • Develop options and make revisions throughout each project;
  • Prepare material estimates;
    • Thorough understanding of building materials and construction methods;
    • Knowledge of procedures for production of construction documents;
    • Knowledge of building codes; and
    • Strong project management and time management skillsThis job involves designing a wide variety of residential remodeling projects using our Design/Build process. This includes: developing high quality designs on time and within budget; presenting creative design concepts to clients; the ability to understand, evaluate, and prioritize workload while responding to changing deadlines; strong project management skills; strong work ethics; will relate well to others and have the ability to work successfully amongst a team of peers while thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Project Manager/Lead Carpenter

We are seeking a Project Manager/Lead Carpenter with extensive experience in residential remodeling. We need a team player who puts customer service first, works well with others, and respects the process we follow to get the job done. We appreciate flexibility, willingness to pitch in, and a good sense of humor. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.

This job involves constructing a wide variety of residential remodeling projects using our Design/Build process. This includes: high-quality craftsmanship; on-site management of all aspects of the remodeling project; execute profitable production activities that support the targets and goals of the company; and working with sales, design and trades to resolve scheduling conflicts, project delays and design modifications.

Minimum Experience: Five years in all phases of residential construction; supervisory experience

Preferred Requirements: NARI Certified Lead Carpenter Designation; EPA RRP Certified Renovator Certification a plus.

Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking a Skilled Carpenter for residential remodeling.

This position involves producing a wide variety of residential remodeling projects using our Design/Build process. This includes: high-quality craftsmanship; on-site management of all aspects of the remodeling project; execute profitable production activities that support the targets and goals of the company; and working with sales, design and trades to resolve scheduling conflicts, project delays and design modifications.

Minimum Experience: five years continuous practice in all phases of residential construction, including supervising staff and trades.

Preferred Requirements: NARI Certified Lead Carpenter Designation; EPA RRP Certified Renovator Certification a plus.

Warranty & Services Assistant

We are seeking a Warranty & Services Assistant with extensive experience in residential remodeling. We need a team player who puts customer service first, works well with others, and respects the process we follow to get the job done. We appreciate flexibility, willingness to pitch in, and a good sense of humor. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.

The job involves: a) delivering a superb experience to the client; b) direct communication with the client to provide updates o the project/repair and address clients=’s concerns appropriately; c) ability to skillfully perform drywall repairs; painting and trim carpentry ;d) strong ability to trouble shoot and problem solve; e) strong knowledge of construction trades (i.e. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, tile, flooring, etc.); f) on-site management of all aspects of the project/repair; and g) ability to earn commission on sold handy man projects.

Must have valid driver’s license, reliable work vehicle, and have your own tools.

Minimum Experience: a) 5 years experience (punch-out or lead carpenter); b) customer-service oriented; c) problem solver; d) self-starter (independent worker); e) good with details and follow-up f) diverse in skills set; and g) computer literate.
