Salesperson (Design Consultant)

The Salesperson (Design Consultant) is a valuable member of a unique team that is on a mission to deliver WOW through service. We need a team player who puts customer service first, works well with others, and respects the process we follow to get the job done.  We appreciate flexibility, a great attitude, and a good sense of humor.  Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.

This position involves:
Meeting and/or exceeding sales targets
Maintaining gross profit margins
Following the Sun Design sales system
Converting leads into design agreements, then into construction contracts
Estimating projects and writing construction contracts
Working with our in-house architect, designers, and production crews

Minimum Requirements:
Salesperson must be a top performer, have a fantastic attitude, and a willingness to learn. Salesperson must also have proven experience in residential remodeling with the ability to estimate, sell, manage and help design/engineer residential construction projects.

Preferred Requirements:
Sandler sales; familiarity remodeling/construction; strong computer knowledge; excellent organizational skills; and attention to detail.

Compensation is based on experience and consists of cash flow plus commission.

Requirements:

Designer (Lead)

We are seeking a Lead Designer with 5+ years experience in residential remodeling with a strong emphasis on Kitchen & Baths, Interiors, and Structural change.

We need a team player who puts customer service first, has strong leadership abilities, is adept at project management/client interactions, and respects the process we follow to get the job done.  We appreciate flexibility, willingness to pitch in, and a good sense of humor.  Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.

This position involves:

Leading a team of designers (CAD/Selections/Architect) through a wide variety of residential remodeling projects using our Design/Build process, including: interpreting the design wishes of the client;

Create innovative solutions while balancing client priorities and budget

Monitoring daily progress of the team;

Providing guidance, instruction, direction and leadership in order to present design concepts and value to clients through innovative design;

Generating interior/exterior finishes using CAD system;

Preparing material estimate; and assisting our production team to resolve design and product issues through the completion of the project.

Minimum Requirements: 5+ years experience; a degree in Interior Design/Design; advanced knowledge of and proficient in Kitchen & Bath, Structural design and CAD operations; thorough technical understanding of residential remodeling; superior design skills and the ability to deliver practical, cost effective solutions, and creative/innovative design; and sound knowledge of residential planning issues and building regulations.

Preferred Requirements: Proficiency in Chief Architect Premier X6; Experience in the Design/Build business model; Certified in kitchen and bath, exterior and interior design (i.e. CKD, CKB, ASID, Registered Architect)

Selections Designer

We are seeking a Selections Designer with experience in residential remodeling.  We need a team player who puts customer service first, works well with others, and respects the process we follow to get the job done.  We appreciate flexibility, willingness to pitch in, and a good sense of humor.  Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.

This job involves:assisting with a wide variety of residential remodeling projects using our Design/Build process. This includes: interpreting the design wishes of the client; handholding clients through the selections process: coordinating and scheduling selections meetings with client, and assisting client with product selections; product pricing; creating design boards; and assisting our design/production team to resolve product issues through the completion of the project.

Minimum Requirements: A degree in Interior Design/Design; proficient in CADD; 20-20 a plus.

Preferred Requirements: We produce our jobs in Chief Architect Premier X5/X6 and proficiency in this program is an advantage; superior design skills and the ability to deliver practical, cost effective solutions.

CAD Operator

We are seeking a CAD Operator with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in residential remodeling. We need a team player who puts customer service first, works well with others, and respects the process we follow to get the job done. This job requires technical experience such as producing permit and construction drawings for a wide variety of residential remodeling projects using our Design/Build process. The process includes: Residential Site Measures – documenting existing conditions and structural components, identifying/collecting critical measurements and producing As Built drawings for Designers; Due Diligence – assisting Design in due diligence to determine project feasibility (i.e. HOA, county zoning, structural and lot specific requirements); Permit/Construction Plans – producing accurate, cohesive drawings using company standards for our Design/Productions teams.

Minimum Requirements: Proficient in CAD and basic knowledge of residential construction; industry certifications a plus.

Preferred Requirements: We produce our jobs in Chief Architect Premier X5/X6 and proficiency in this program is an advantage; thorough technical understanding of residential remodeling; superior technical skills with an eye for details and the ability to meet critical deadlines in a fast paced environment. A sound knowledge of residential planning issues, building materials and building regulations are a plus.

Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper

Sun Design Remodeling Specialists has an opening for an Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our team! The Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper is a valuable member of a unique team that is on a mission to deliver WOW through service and to create fun.

Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly.  This person must be self-motivated and able to engender trust among cross functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

Overall responsibility for data entry into accounting system (QuickBooks) and integrity of all accounting system data.
Enters A/P vendor invoices into QuickBooks and resolves discrepancies
Determines appropriate general ledger codes for A/P entries
Obtains vendor approval from department heads
Ensures timely payment of A/P invoices and prepares checks for signature
Enters all credit card transactions into QuickBooks; reconciles credit card accounts
Maintains sales tax spreadsheet and makes timely payment on a monthly basis
Reviews and obtains approval for reimbursement expenses
Obtains approval for all cash advances and maintains accurate records of payment

Accounts Receivables:

Enters project estimates into Quickbooks
Prepares Invoices for A/R

Payroll

Processes payroll in ADP; resolves discrepancies
Conducts weekly payroll export/import from ADP to Quickbooks; verifies accuracy of data import.
Distributes weekly paystubs to employees
Distributes annual W2’s to employees
Process monthly commission, bonus and incentive payments
Imports Payroll Batch into QuickBooks

Other:

Communicates daily with Controller on cash flow status
Produce timely and accurate accounting reports
Assists Controller with End of Month and Fiscal Year End Close
Performs special projects and operations duties as assigned
Receives and process all incoming accounting department mail, except bank statements
Maintains vendor files

Our ideal candidate will bring the following to the table:

Minimum of two years’ relevant experience or Degree in Accounting
Extensive QuickBooks experience (Contractor’s Edition preferred)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Highly organized and has very effective time management skills
Ability to handle large volume of daily work while maintaining accuracy
Safeguards confidential accounting records; secures company checks/checkbooks

Administrative Assistant

Part-Time (30 hours a week)

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant with 3 to 5 years experience in an office setting. The ideal candidate will report to the Office Manager ensuring all requirements of the department are met and that nothing falls through the cracks. We are looking for someone that can manage a maze of details on tight release schedules while remaining calm and poised. This person must relish that opportunity to coordinate communication and engender trust among cross functional teams. The qualified candidate will possess finely honed communication and people skills, enthusiasm, self-organization and technical savvy.

Key Responsibilities:
First point of contact for all incoming calls where excellent communication skills are vital, with strong attention to detail and the ability to ask clarifying questions, and serve as the primary receptionist to greet clients, prospects, vendors, etc.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office to handle email, spreadsheets, documents and internal database; as well as other web-based programs

Proficient in data entry to assist accounting with Accounts Payable through Quickbooks Accounting software, as well as maintaining our internal Access database

Proficient IT skills in order to troubleshoot common computer problems, setup audio/video, teleconferencing equipment, and setup and troubleshoot corporate cell phones

General clerical duties such as maintaining and organizing documents and corporate files, including: copying, filing, faxing and scanning

Organized, polished and excellent at multi-tasking

Requirements

Excellent telephone etiquette and creative problem solving for all aspects of an office environment

Advanced skills in MS Office Suite

Good working knowledge of office equipment and procedures; including: computers, photocopiers, printers, fax machines, mailing equipment, telephone systems, audio/video teleconferencing equipment, filing systems, etc.
