Production Management Team
Aaron Cropp, Director of Production
Aaron came to Sun Design in 2018 with 20+ years of experience in both the residential and commercial construction industries. As the Director of Production he is accountable for executing all client projects, from construction to completion. As such, Aaron monitors and evaluates various projects for timely completion and high level quality craftsmanship, with complete customer satisfaction as the ultimate goal.
It is vitally important to Aaron and the entire Sun Design team to maintain trust and reliability with every client throughout our process. We always want our clients to feel comfortable and at ease while we create their dream home, and Aaron makes that happen.
Aaron has an Associate’s Degree in Architectural Drafting and Design from the Johnson College in Scranton, PA and a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from West Virginia University, is NCIDQ certified and is a Project Management Professional (PMP).
In his spare time, Aaron enjoys photography, carpentry, WVU Football, and spending time in the country. When asked what some of the values are that drive him to work hard and succeed, Aaron answered: “Treat clients, subs and fellow employees as you would like to be treated, and although you may have difficulty at times, never allow “can’t” to be in your vocabulary.”
Greg Gunther, Project Manager
Greg started with Sun Design in 2014 after 25+ years as a Colorado commercial and residential contractor. As Project Manager, Greg ensures that our carpentry and trade staff has all the training and tools they need to effectively run their jobs, and support our clients throughout the remodeling process. In addition to helping our carpenters grow, he helps manage project trade-walks, estimate reviews, and special order reviews.
Greg says, “This is a fantastic group of people. I feel supported and challenged; I feel like I contribute to the greater good of our team, and our internal and external clients. It’s rewarding on so many different levels.”
In his free time Greg enjoys exploring local historical sites, fly-fishing, and his growing family. “Life is too short,” Greg says. “My wife and I purposefully relocated to be a part in our two daughter’s lives, and to be MiMi and Jeep to our grandson.”
Jeff Nichols, Warranty & Services Manager
Jeff started with Sun Design in 1999. He was promoted from Project Manager to Warranty & Services Manager in July of 2013. As Project Manager, Jeff managed several building crews and focused on providing clients with a great experience. Jeff’s main focus is to provide clients with the same positive experience during the warranty period as they had during design and construction. In addition to Jeff’s promotion to Warranty & Services Manager, he is on Sun Design’s board of advisors and provides critical insight from his hands-on experience in the field.
Jeff has more than 25 years in the construction business and has the designation of Certified Remodeler from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler from the National Kitchen and Bath Association. He has won the Certified Lead Carpenter Award of Excellence from NARI twice, most recently in recognition for teaching the Certified Lead Carpenter certification class. Jeff has also received many Contractor of the Year awards for the projects he has managed over the years.
Jeff says, “I like working for Sun Design because it is fun and a great balance of work and family life.” His favorite hobby is boating with his family.

Basements make up a third of our homes but are often unappreciated spaces. Families will often use this space to store out-of-season clothing, old furniture, or the endless holiday decor that somehow grows every year. Even most new or updated homes leave the lower level unfinished, cold, and poorly lit, when it could be transformed…
Dave & Shira, of North Arlington, were aware of the areas of their home that needed to be reconfigured, but it wasn’t until they began expecting a new member of the family that they realized it was time to tackle a home remodel. The anticipated arrival of baby Daniel meant that they either needed to…
Isn’t it true that when guests arrive they all seem to gravitate in the kitchen? Kids return home from school, grandchildren come to visit, the neighbors drop in… and everyone ends up wedged between the sink and the fridge. Very few cooks enjoy being confined in a tight space to prepare a meal when company…
”John and I wanted you and your staff to know how much we appreciate the fine job you did designing and building the addition to our house. It is exactly what we wanted – and at the same time you managed to save the upstairs.”Maureen L.
